The no 1 problem will come from the situation of a poorly trained coach couple with a poor attitude athlete.
It is common in CrossFit to have to move as fast as possible during a movement or to execute a max number of reps. That increase in speed will diminish the quality of the movement. This is why it is very important to be supervised by a well trained coach.
It is also possible to be pushing a little too far during a workout because of the cheers from the other athletes or the desire to improve our score. The injuries caused by going a little too far are usually minor and will disapear within a few days.
Finally, we have registered some rare cases of Rhado. This is a condition where the rapid muscle fibre breakdown overflow the kidnees. This is a serious condition, that should be respected but not feared. This is more likely to happen for a past athlete that is now deconditioned.
Like in any other sport, if badly suppervised and if the athlete wants to do too much too soon, there are some potential injuries waiting to happen.
That is why at CrossFit Laval, our trainers have followed the seminars that CrossFit HQ offers and are suppervised by Matthieu Dubreucq, CrossFit Laval's head trainer and HQ Seminar Staff.
